Denia is a city on the east coast of Spain. It lies between Alicante and Valencia in the north of the Costa Blanca. Tourists appreciate the 20 km long sandy beach, which turns into a rocky and stone coast at the Las Rotas district. The Montgó nature reserve, named after Denia's local mountain of the same name with a height of 753 m, is suitable for hikers, a typical layered mountain that rises lonely into the sky and ends in the Cabo de San Antonio. In the area around the city there are Roman, Moorish and Spanish ruins, as well as in the neighboring town of Javea, which is well worth seeing, the Cabo de la Nao with its lighthouse, which offers a view of Ibiza when the weather is clear. Denia is also called the gateway to the Costa Blanca. The highest thing in the city is still the castle, which rises about 60 m above the harbor. Almost on the doorstep, Les Deveses beach is mainly sandy and the longest beach in Dénia, with a length of almost 3 km.
